How we compare

Rules we hold ourselves to

  • Every fact comes from the vendor's own page, with a date on it

    Not from review aggregators. When we checked in 2026-08, two major review sites were still publishing FileInvite plans that no longer existed. Each comparison links the page we read and states the day we read it.

  • We say where they beat us

    Content Snare's free trial is twice as long as ours. FileInvite syncs to more storage platforms than we support. SmartVault's unlimited storage is real value we don't offer. Those rows are in the tables, because a comparison that never loses is not a comparison.

  • Custody means the file of record, not integrations

    Three of these tools sync a copy of your documents into your own cloud. Saying they have "no storage integration" would be false. The real difference is who holds the original — and on that, the answer is the same for all three.
